Future Island — Case studiesIndex 00

From the question to the result, with the evidence in between.

Published only with explicit client permission

This section will hold real projects: the business question as it was asked, the evidence examined, the read an analyst signed, and what happened next. Right now it holds none, and the rest of this page explains why that is the honest state rather than a gap.

01 — Current stateResponsible publishing

An empty section, for a reason that is worth stating.

The fastest way to fill this page would be three anonymised composites with impressive percentages. Every intelligence vendor has that page. It costs nothing to write and it is worth nothing to read, because the reader cannot check a single number on it.

We would rather show you an empty shelf and tell you what will go on it. Limit 06 of our methodology says we do not invent client results. This page is that commitment costing us something.

01

No invented results

No figures, dates or business effects that cannot be evidenced at the time of publishing.

02

No names without permission

A client appears here only when there is explicit written approval to publish their case.

03

Limits stated, not hidden

Every case will say what evidence was examined and what fell outside the scope of the work.

02 — AnatomySix fields

What every case study here will contain.

The structure is fixed in advance, so a future case cannot quietly skip the awkward field. The examples on the right are illustrative — they are not a client.

01

The question

One sentence, in the words the client used when they walked in. Not a reverse-engineered brief written after the answer was known.

Illustrative“Is our category conversation actually about price, or are we telling ourselves that?”

02

What we could see

The sources, platforms and collection window — and, explicitly, what was out of reach and why.

IllustrativeFour platforms, eleven weeks. Two closed communities we could not read.

03

The evidence

What corroborated across independent sources, and what contradicted. Both, in the same field.

IllustrativePrice led volume. Sentiment was driven by a delivery problem nobody had raised.

04

The read

The analyst interpretation, with the name of the person who signed it.

IllustrativeThe price story was real but secondary. Reviewed by an analyst, not a model.

05

The direction

What we recommended, with the constraints attached — including what we advised against.

IllustrativeFix the delivery narrative before touching price. Do not run the discount test.

06

What happened

The outcome the client agreed we can publish. Where it is genuinely too early to say, the case will say exactly that instead of implying a win.

Illustrative“Too early to attribute.” That sentence will appear here when it is the true one.

Field 06 is the one that makes the other five worth reading. A case-study format that has no way to report "we do not know yet" is a marketing format, not a record.

04 — NextMadrid

Bring the question. We will build the evidence.

If the work goes well and you are willing, your project is what fills this page. If you would rather it never appeared here, that is the default and it costs you nothing.
